Requirements




Easy Way (Windows only)

Our Live OS Launcher makes it very easy to boot into Nebulux from a USB flash drive and install it from there. Simply download it and run it.

You will be asked if you want to download the latest version of Nebulux automatically or manually select an installation media (ISO file) you have already downloaded:

After that, you can select the USB flash drive that the installation media should be written to:
Warning: ALL DATA ON THE SELECTED USB DRIVE WILL BE DELETED!

Once it is done it will ask you to reboot the system. After a reboot it should automatically boot your system into the USB flash drive and load up the Nebulux Live OS!

Now you can start the installation.




Alternative Way


Getting Nebulux

Download the latest installation media (ISO file).
Now you will need to use a tool to write it to your USB flash drive.
Warning: ALL DATA ON THE SELECTED USB DRIVE WILL BE DELETED!


Writing to a USB flash drive

We recommend using balenaEtcher.

  1. Click “Flash from file” and select your Nebulux ISO file
  2. Click “Select target” and select your USB flash drive
  3. Click “Flash!”


Starting the Nebulux Live OS

Once you have successfully written the installation media to a USB flash drive you need to open the boot menu on your device. To do so, reboot your system and repeatedly press the Boot Menu Key for your machine until the boot menu appears. Here you can select your USB drive. It should then boot into the Nebulux Live OS.

Now you can start the installation.




Starting the Installation

Open the application launcher (press Win/Super + Q), navigate to the category “System” and open the app called “Install Nebulux”.

Now simply follow the instructions of the installer.
